Synopsis

When ex-drug dealer, Billy, is forced back into the game by his hopeless friend, Scott, on the same night that he is tasked with looking after his girlfriend's dementia-ridden grandfather, Donnie, what should be an easy task turns haywire. Stuck between a job he does not want and a man he cannot control, Billy finds himself exactly where he shouldn't be - with disastrous consequences.

Donnie Doesn't Know is Vinny Walsh Film's biggest project to date both from a narrative and production standpoint. Teaming up with long time companions TypeFace Productions and Adelaide based Scuti Productions, Donnie Doesn't Know includes some of the best local talent that South Australia has to offer. Co-written by Brad McCarthy (who also stars in the film as Billy) & Kirk Cameron, Donnie Doesn't Know is a black comedy taking inspiration from the likes of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & In bruges. Shooting across multiple locations with a myriad of characters, Donnie Doesn't Know promises to be Vinny Walsh Film's greatest and proudest accomplishment to date.
